India’s IOrderFresh gets cash injection from Singapore Angel Network

Indian organic and deli food startup IOrderFresh has received an undisclosed amount of funding from the Singapore Angel Network (SGAN), the investment arm of the Thakral Group of Companies, according to local reports.

IOrderFresh operates in India’s National Capital Region with a key proposition of offering local produce – sourced directly from farms – and artisan products to customers across Delhi NCR.

The Company delivers fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, artisan/gourmet produce, grocery and personal care products – with strong accent on organic – direct to customers. The Company has an exclusive delivery partnership with Natural Ice Cream (Mumbai’s pioneer artisan ice cream brand) for Delhi NCR, along with partnership with several other artisan brands of Delhi. The Company markets its products through a mobile app – iOrderFresh (available on Android and iOS) and website.

SGAN CEO, Satveer Singh Thakral, says the company is excited about the partnership with iOrderFresh given its differentiated positioning and superior product platform. “We feel that the B2B space holds great potential, and will help the company optimise costs in order to be profitable by June.”
