Using the hashtag #LiveOrganic, hundreds of visitors posted highlights on social media from an Organic Trade Association-hosted “Live Organic from Farm to Home” pop-up shop event at Treehaus café and food market in Manhattan, New York, earlier this month.
From photos and videos of brand stories to facts that resonate strongly for organic consumers, there was no shortage of fun and inspiring moments to share from the event hosted by the Organic Trade Association and OTA’s Fiber Council. A VIP Media reception on Thursday night, May 3, kicked off the two-day pop-up shop.
Invited media got a sneak preview at the shop, and met the visionary sponsors and brands participating in the event. The enthusiastic and engaged group of media influencers attending the reception were eager to learn more about the world of organic textiles, and its importance to health and the environment – and, says OTA, they left with an inspiring and important story to tell.
Sponsors also drove additional opportunities for digital engagement through their own social channels, as well as through custom blog posts and press write-ups about the event.
OTA says: “”Live Organic from Farm to Home” is connecting the dots between that organic T-shirt or sweater and the organic cotton farmer and the organic sheep raiser; between the organic mattress factory or an organic fabric dyeing factory and the downstream impact on our water and soil.”
