The fourth edition of Natural & Organic Products Asia (NOPA) will take place in Hong Kong on 30 August-1 September 2017 at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The exhibition has quickly become established as a major international hub for natural products suppliers and buyers, trading in or supplying to the booming Asia market.
The natural and organic market in Asia has been growing fast as consumer awareness of healthy eating and lifestyle choices has grown rapidly across the region In parallel with a growing market for healthy eating and snacking, increased demand for ‘clean cosmetics’ has helped support a flourishing natural and organic personal care market.
An ageing population in some parts of Asia has also been helping to boost demands for health foods and supplements, while white label products have emerged for the brands looking for products in line with their values of health and sustainability.
Enhanced International Profile
International pavilions and the presence of leading certifiers has strengthened NOPA’s global reputation. The UK’s Soil Association has confirmed that it is to exhibit at the Hong Kong show again this year. Senior certification officer, Alex Hart, said that the Soil Association remains confident that the Asian organic market will continue its growth trajectory, and that it is an exciting time for exporters – a poll conducted earlier this year showed that Soil Association licensees identified Asia as the export market with the biggest growth potential. Also in attendance this year will be Sweden’s lead organic body KRAV, while Australia, Taiwan, Thailand, the US, Greece, Italy and the UK will each have a pavilion presence.
Hong Kong’s strategic location makes it Asia’s top spot for business. The city’s commercial and geographical access to the region’s high-growth markets, such as China and the Southeast Asia, combined with its role as a super connector for China’s “Belt and Road” project, making it the hub for regional trade.
