Denmark-based international certification organization AllergyCertified has announced the winners of its 2017 AllergyAward, which was held in London this week (24 April) at the Royal College of Physicians.
The event was opened by Denmark’s Minister of Food and Environment, Esben Lunde Larsen. He was invited to open the award in light of Denmark’s pioneering research into, and development of, skin-friendly personal care products.
In his opening speech, the Minister emphasized the vital importance of European cooperation on legislation in this area, which greatly helps consumers’ ability to avoid exposure to skin allergens.
The 17 judges of the awards – drawn from four European countries: the UK, Denmark, Poland and Belgium – made their selection from 87 products in six different categories.
This year’s winners are:
Best Skin Friendly Product – Women Ecooking Multi Oil Perfumefree Best Skin Friendly Product – Men O-Moi Double Whipped Cream Best skin-friendly product – Children Änglamark Panthenol Balm Best Skin Friendly Product – Household Neutral Coal Wash
Best skin-friendly product for Professional Zenz Shampoo
Best Skin Friendly Product (selected by consumers) – Mascha Vang Selvtanner Mousse
“We are super-proud that the minister opened AllergyAward. We had a blast when Millie Kendall from BeautyMart gave a quick review of cosmetic trends and we are grateful for the support from both Danish and English participants, mixed with some from Italy, Holland and Belgium. Our work on spreading the message about the importance of preventing allergies continues and we are already planning for AllergyAward2018, which will take place in Amsterdam on April 16 next year,” said director Lene Stiil.
The 2017 AllergyAward event was sponsored by Natural Products Scandinavia and Decubal.
