FIAB confirma en Organic Food Iberia la buena salud de la exportación de alimentos y bebidas ecológicas

El sector de la producción ecológica se ha dado cita en Madrid en la III edición de Organic Food Iberia, la feria profesional más grande de España y Portugal, un encuentro en el que las alianzas internacionales del sector ecológico español se han reforzado con la vista puesta en la internacionalización de los diversos mercados productores y consumidores para el desarrollo armónico, sostenible y medible del sector. La apuesta, además, está teniendo resultados; La exportación de alimentos y bebidas ecológicos españoles ha crecido un 60% en un periodo de 10 años, un mercado que no deja de crecer y que únicamente encuentra frenos en cuestiones burocráticas como las certificaciones en países terceros como China.

Así lo puso de manifiesto la directora de Internacionalización y Política Comercial Internacional de la Federación de Industrias de la Alimentación y Bebidas (FIAB), Verónica Puente, en declaraciones a los periodistas antes de su intervención en OFI & ELI. España es la segunda potencia europea en superficie ecológica certificada, y exportó alimentos y bebidas por valor de 2.752 millones de euros en 2020. Eso supone que el 43 % del total de los alimentos y bebidas con certificación ecológica se vende fuera. España es el cuarto país en exportación alimentaria ecológica, detrás de Estados Unidos, Italia y Países Bajos, y vende al exterior fundalmentalmente aceite, vino, carnes y elaboraciones cárnicas, lácteos y conservas de frutas y verduras.

Los mercados con mayor potencial son los «más maduros», ha reconocido la experta, que ve un importante freno en el mercado de China. El gigante asiático no reconoce la certificación ecológica europea, lo que requiere que sean sus propias autoridades las que acrediten los alimentos. FIAB, miembro del panel asesor de la Feria, ha organizado los Business Meetings de OFI & ELI con compradores internacionales invitados por ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, así como por la propia Organic Food & Eco Living Iberia. Así, entre el 8 y el 9 de junio tuvieron lugar en IFEMA unas 130 reuniones de negocio con decenas de compradores internacionales y empresas exportadoras de producto ecológico.

Asimismo, durante la Feria, que este año celebra su tercera edición, FIAB impartirá el seminario Mercados Prioritarios para la Industria de Alimentos y Bebidas española y su sector ecológico exportador. Los encargados de impartirlo serán la directora de Internacionalización de FIAB, Verónica Puente, y un responsable de PESASUR, empresa del Grupo de empresas ecológicas que gestiona la Federación, Biofoods From Spain. “El mercado ecológico está en permanente crecimiento y la Federación Española de Industrias de Alimentación y Bebidas no podía dejar de estar presente en este punto de encuentro de los productores ecológicos de todo el mundo”, afirma Mauricio García de Quevedo, director general de FIAB.

Centenares de expositores, los ponentes y expertos de más prestigio, los principales operadores del sector y más de 5.000 visitantes siguen descubriendo juntos las nuevas tendencias del sector ecológico, no sólo en el ámbito de la alimentación, también lo último en salud y bienestar, belleza, cuidado de la piel, textiles, hogar y lifestyle de todas las regiones de España y Portugal. El programa de seminarios del evento contará con más de 30 sesiones, en las que se tratará todo lo más relevante acerca de un sector en constante crecimiento y con aún mejores perspectivas de desarrollo, que mantiene a más de 100.000 personas de manera directa en cerca de 55.000 operadores en España y Portugal.
