Enterprise Greece, the invest and trade agency of the Greek State will host a national pavilion this year at next month’s Nordic Organic Food Fair in Malmö, Sweden.
Greece has exhibited strong growth over the last decade in the organic foods and natural products sectors. Enterprise Greece is attending with an impressive national pavilion located at the entrance of the exhibition hall with intent to facilitate the entry of Greek products into Scandinavian markets, while Greek exhibitors are undertaking a major outreach; targeting new markets, finding new buyers and creating partnerships.
It has never been a trend in Greece to eat naturally and seasonally, Enterprise Greece points out, rather, it’s seen as a way of life. Greek food products are charged with vitamins and minerals. The soil in Greece plays a major factor in determining the flavour and texture of many of the food products the country is most renowned for.
The challenging growing conditions – dry climate, arid conditions, rugged mountainous areas – actually contribute to the distinctive flavours and high nutritional values of Greece’s natural food produce.
In addition to food products, Greece offers high quality beauty products created with naturally and organically cultivated methods..
Certified organic products include fruit dried fruit, vegetables, vine leaves, feta cheese, olive oil, olives, olive paste, honey, organic dough, dried herbs and herbal teas.
