NOC Sweden will use this month’s Natural Products Scandinavia event in Malmö (15-16 November) to explain how its Organic Beauty Awards series offers a valuable ‘quality seal’ to Swedish consumers of natural and organic beauty products, and is helping drive further growth in the category.
Launched three years ago, the Organic Beauty Awards set out to highlight products that are efficient and at the same time beneficial for the health and wellbeing of the consumer, produced in a fair manner with minimum negative impact on our environment. The Awards also highlight and reward brands who produce and sell the ‘best of the best’ in this category of beauty products.
The essential criteria for participation is that the product is certified with a scheme that guarantees that the product fulfils the criteria for being called natural and organic, or delivers a corresponding quality. An independent hand-picked jury then tests and eventually nominates the top products within each of 15 categories – the 16th category is voted by consumers.
Taking in the full sweep of natural and organic cosmetics, the Awards jury test and assess everything from efficacy and ingredients, to look and feel, application and design, says Henrik Olténg, founder and project manager of Organic Beauty Awards.
“Everybody wants to buy efficient and good products,” says Susanne Hovenäs, beauty editor of Hälsa (Health) Magazine and member of the 2018 project team of ‘OBA’. “Organic Beauty Awards serves as a guide to find the absolute best products – the award is a great quality seal,” Hovenäs adds.
Winners of the Organic Beauty Awards 2018 will be announced on 5 May 5 at the Green Beauty Day fair in Stockholm, Sweden
