With organic and sustainable living products back at the top of the political agenda, the organizers of Organic Food & Eco Living Iberia are preparing for what they claim will be the “most important and meticulously planned edition to date”.
With its return to IFEMA MADRID on June 7 and 8, 2023 , the joint organization of Diversified Communications and IFEMA MADRID has also announced that stand reservations are now open for all ecological, natural, and sustainable brands to be part of this essential event for the sustainable sector in Spain and Portugal.

Although the pandemic has had an obvious impact on the sector, the importance of betting on ecological principles, and the crucial role it plays in promoting a more sustainable food production system, results in its acceleration and growth for consumers. years to come, according to Carsten Holm, CEO of joint organizers Diversified Communications.
He also comments: “We understand the crucial role that Organic Food & Eco Living Iberia plays in promoting the organic sector in Spain and Portugal, which is why the next edition is more important than ever, and that is why we have the full support of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry through ICEX, the autonomous communities, and our partners at the Ecovalia and IFEMA MADRID fairs.

To make this a reality, the organizers are planning the largest marketing and social media campaign to date, including presence and collaboration with national and international media, and using the combined international databases of Diversified, IFEMA MADRID and Ecovalia.
The organizers also promise the largest invited buyer program to date (230 to 300 high-quality international buyers), with a team dedicated full-time to finding, inviting and planning your itinerary, including travel arrangements and prearranged meetings . They will also have a new tool , with more features and a more user-friendly interface, to facilitate the organization of private meetings between buyers and sellers.
An international showcase
Organic Food & Eco Living Iberia is quickly establishing itself as the most important ecological event in Spain. The 2022 edition has welcomed more than 4,300 professionals and more than 350 exhibitors from a total of 80 countries around the world, such as Portugal, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the United States, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands , Poland, UK, Sri Lanka and Switzerland.
“Organic Food & Eco Living Iberia is the bridge that connects Europe and America in the organic sector, and the next edition will help to form strong connections even further afield,” says Holm.
The world market for organic products already exceeds 120,000 million euros in turnover, which is equivalent to almost 60 euros per person per year. Domestic consumption in Spain increased by 154% between 2012 and 2020 and grows by an average of 7% each year according to Ecovalia and MAPA. The growth of organic consumption in Spain is unstoppable and must continue to increase to achieve the sustainable objectives set by the European Union.
“In the last five years, the number of certified organic products has increased by 70% in Spain, and the number of organic farmers has also grown by almost 37%, according to figures recorded by the Ecovalia association. It’s time these operators – the future of green – get the attention they require,” concludes Holm.
