Some of the Nordic region’s leading influencers in the natural, organic and eco arena will join a formidable speaker line-up at next week’s co-located Natural Products Scandinavia and Nordic Organic Food Fair events in Malmö, Sweden.
40 speakers from across the Scandinavian region – and beyond – will take part in 27 talks and presentations at the two-day event.
Top draws in the Natural Theatre include Rikard Furusten, general manager of Holland & Barratt Sweden, who will lead a special ‘Innovation Live Pitch’ session. The Natural Theatre will also provide a stage for some of Nordic sector’s top analysts, including Povilas Sugintas from Euromonitor International and Karina Kaae Hermansen, who will be looking at Future Consumer Trends in Health and Wellness – covering everything from biohacking to personalised nutrition, AI to emotional health.
Guaranteed to shake things up a bit, Johannes Cullberg – named ‘Socialist Capitalist of the Year by Swedish business magazine Veckans Affärer – will demonstrate how his Paradiset stores are setting new ethical standards in retailing in Sweden.
In the Organic Theatre, ‘Organic Brexit’, is the theme of another keenly anticipated discussion, where a panel including Roger Kerr of UK certifier Organic Farmers & Growers and Jonas Englund from Business Sweden, will examine the potential impacts of Britain’s exit from the EU on organic trade and exports. Two other big names on the European organic scene – Michaël Wilde, from organic fruit and vegetable specialist Eosta, and Fredrik Törn of Coop, Sweden – will look at the challenges and opportunities of the shift to plant based protein. A special session led by Moreganic Sourcing will reveal brand new datas on market for organics in the Baltic states.
In the Beauty Theatre, Dr.Hana Mušinović, regulatory and scientific officer at NATRUE, will give her take on the plastics debate in a talk entitled ‘Plastics & Natural Cosmetics: Reuse, renew, recycle, or replace?’ Ewa Daniél, toxicologist and co-founder of AllergyCertified will meanwhile attempt to disentangle beauty facts from beauty fiction. And Emma Bergqvist, president of NOC Sweden & Tree of Brands and Tove Svanlind, founder of Tree Brands, will make the case for ‘Female empowerment – the development of the beauty industry as it should be’.
