Meat-brand Future Farm has announced the launch of a range of meat-alternatives in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK today.
The Brazilian brand unveiled its Future Burger, Future Meatball, Future Sausage, and Future Mince. All products are made from soy, chickpeas, green peas, and beetroot and are free from GMO and gluten.
‘Brazil’s most popular plant-based meat’
Veganuary announced the news on social media and described Future Farm as ‘Brazil’s most popular plant-based meat’.
Better for the environment
Future Farm claims to provide the same ‘experience’ as eating meat, only ‘without suffering, and with much less environmental impact’ – adding that the Future Burger even bleeds like meat.
The brand will join a plethora of other meat alternatives already available from Sainsbury’s, including THIS plant-based bacon and its own Plant Pioneers range launched last January.
The supermarket giant recorded a 65 percent increase in sales of plant-based products in 2019. Furthermore, in its Future of Food report, Sainsbury’s predicts vegans and vegetarians making up a quarter of British people by 2025.
