Tell us a bit about your company
In 2016, Alice, the founder and CEO of HUJ, started eating plant based. She found that the vegan spreads on the market were quite dull and that there weren’t a lot of options for people who wanted to eat plant based. She took the matter into her own hands and created her own spreads – with the mission to become the spreads of tomorrow.
Present day our product range consists of plant-based cream cheese, Creamy Cashew, and our vegan pâté, Vegetarisk Pastej. All our products are based on Swedish white beans. We aim to create plant-based products that are still nutritious and full of great energy. You can always find our products in the vegetarian fridge at the supermarket and they are also freezable, to save for later.
In the future, we want to produce even more plant based and nutritious products to make life easier for anyone who wants to eat more plant based in their everyday lives. Our vision is to become a classic for future generations. We believe that the modern consumer strives to eat more sustainable alternatives that are still tasty and nutritious for the whole family.

On our stand we will show and hand out tastings of all our delicious and creamy plant-based spreads. At the moment we have four different flavours of our plant based cream cheese, Creamy Cashew.
Creamy Cashew is based on Fairtrade cashews and Swedish white beans and the flavours available are Natural, Garlic, Herbs and Peppers & Chili. Peppers & Chili, Paprika & Chili, is our newest launch on the market. We will also showcase and hand out our vegan pâté, Vegetarisk Pastej, with the flavours Original and Smoky. Our vegan pâté is based on Swedish white beans and sunflower seeds.
Why was Eco Life Scandinavia 2021 an unmissable opportunity for you?
We love sharing our products with both customers and people within the industry. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we haven’t been able to share our products, but Nordic Organic Food Fair / Eco Life Scandinavia 2021 was a great opportunity to do so again. We also love to connect with other great brands and people within the industry.
What kind of visitors are you looking forward to meeting at Eco Life Scandinavia?
We hope to make great connections with new distributors both in Sweden and other Nordic countries. To find new connections with other plant-based brands would also be a great opportunity for us during the fair.
