US supermarket operator Publix has opened the third of its standalone Greenwise concept stores, in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
GreenWise Market is a speciality, natural and organic store featuring a curated selection of unique, local and organic items, including in-house smoked meats, in-house made sausages and signature fresh-popped kettle corn.
The new store features an array of grab-and-go, ready-to-heat and ready-to-eat meal options, as well as a seating area. In addition, the POURS department sells coffee, tea, smoothie or kombucha for customers to carry as they shop. A separate beverage counter in the FINDS department sells samples of select beer and wine options. The store also includes a large-scale photographic mural by local artist Jamie Carnathan. The abstract panels feature layered photos of the surrounding area.
