7,965 organic professionals gathered in Lyon this week for the 2020 edition of NATEXPO, France’s leading trade show for the sector.
The organiser praised the industry for “mobilising” to make this year’s show “an exceptional event” in the most challenging of circumstances.
The show had been billed by event operator Spars Organisation as the “official restart” of the European organic industry. This year’s show certainly looked different, with mandatory mask-for all attendees and strict social distancing and hygiene measures in place.
There was also an effective system for counting the number of visitors in the venue at any one time, with visitors requested to stagger their time of arrival to maintain local Covid compliance measures.
The undoubted success of the 2020 edition was, says the organiser, “a reflection of the spectacular growth of the organic market in the context of Covid-19, the resilience of the NATEXPO show itself, helping to give professionals a valuable 360 degree view of all the news in French and international organic farming.”
The Natexpo Digital event runs for all this week, extending the reach of the show to organic professionals around the world through a series of interactive online events.
