From September 16 to 23 , Spain celebrates the second edition of Bio Week , an initiative open to all citizens and actors in the organic sector with the aim of promoting the production and consumption of organic products.

It will bring together a set of activities organized by farmers, ranchers, restaurants, schools and retailers, specially designed to learn, participate and contribute to the future of a more sustainable and healthy world.

From visits to producers, to commercial actions, through culinary experiences and workshops with a gastronomic focus, the diversity of planned activities responds to all tastes and interests.

All of them will take place in all parts of the national territory from September 16 to September 23, when the event will culminate coinciding with the EU Organic Agriculture Day.

Throughout the week, the 100% organic supermarket chain Veritas will carry out daily tastings of its own brand organic products among customers and visitors to its stores in Mandri, Via Laietana, Sant Cugat, Mestre Nicolau, Còrsega and Sant Pere.

In addition, it organizes the free online workshop “Quick and delicious vegan meals with vegetable protein” , focused on discovering how to incorporate tempeh into your daily diet. Taught by Míriam Fabà, creator and chef of Veganeando, with the collaboration of Vegetalia, it will take place on September 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The public will be able to find discounts and special promotions in physical and online stores and organic restaurants, such as Ecocentro, AlterNativa3, Casa Amella, Biocenter, La Tienda del Tea Gourmet, Onzas and Saper Organic Skincare .

Among the informative activities, the online training course “The Medicine of Water” stands out , with Dr. Roel Bonome and Juan Carlos Novo, CEO of Alkanatur, and the talks on ecological and sustainable intimate hygiene given by DeTela, scheduled for the 16th of September, as well as the environmental education day “How to make your home garden” that the Somos Naturaleza Foundation will carry out on Sunday the 17th in Córdoba.

This edition’s program also includes activities such as a guided route with EVOO tasting through the CR Olivareros farm, on September 22 in Badajoz, and the launch of the school eco-garden at the EE. PP Sagrada Familia – Safa Linares educational center. .
