Tell us a bit about your company
Founded in 1979, Euro Company produces, selects, and markets nuts and dried fruits in the heart of Romagna. In 40 years our community has grown steadily and has more than 400 employees. Every day, more than 400,000 consumers buy our products in Italy, and we sell in more than 30 countries.
We are a B Corp company since 2019: we believe in a better way of doing business, pursuing a higher goal than just profit. As a matter of fact, we aim to be a reference point for healthy and sustainable food, putting health, the planet, and respect for people at the heart off all we do, with the ultimate goal of influencing the entire food industry. For this reason, in 2017 we started producing fermentino: an innovative and 100% plant-based product obtained from fermented nuts with only water and a pinch of salt.
Tell us about your latest product(s), promotions, or launches visitors can hope to see on your stand.
We are launching our Casa del Fermentino. At the show visitors will have the chance to taste fermentino products, a new category of italian plant-based food, made from fermenting nuts (with only water and salt added) and, sometimes, natural herbs and spices. Since 2017 we brought to the market a new concept of plant-based food: pure, healthy and tasty. In our Casa del Fermentino you will have the chance to taste Cicioni, the original fermentino, Camelia and its bloomy rind and all the Fermè line products – 2 spreadable and 3 semi-aged items.
The new entry in Fermè line, for the Christmas season, is our Special Edition with cranberries and pecan nuts. When you mix pecan nuts and delicious cranberries in a cashew fermentino, what you get is a unique blend of flavours and textures. The taste of this fermentino is an amazing mix: from one hand you taste the crunchiness of pecan nuts, the sweetness of cranberries, and the delicacy of cashews, on the other hand the pinch of salt which adds an extra layer of flavor without compromising the original taste. A perfect way to end your meal, and something you have never tasted before!
Why was Eco Life Scandinavia 2021 an unmissable opportunity for you?
Eco Life Scandinavia perfectly matches with our fermentino products. As a matter of fact, Eco Life is one of the most important European shows dedicated to organic food and innovation and it’s here that fermentino feels home. We are glad to be here and share our new concept of plant-based food!
As we can observe, the demand for plant-based food is rising all over Europe and now consumers do not want alternatives only: a new consciousness is spreading about the need for healthy and nutritious plant-based food, with short lists of ingredients, which does not imitate any other existing product on the market.
Fermentino is the italian answer to these needs: pure, healthy, nutritious and original.
